« on: Friday 31 August 12 10:37 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
We're from the same family!  I am delighted to hear from you and will share any information I have. George and Susan had ten children:-

Eliza Jane   1877
William   1879
Susan   1882
George   1884
Anne   1886
James   1888
Margaret   1890
Frances Mary 1892
Alfred James 1894
Robert John 1896

Eliza Jane was my great grandmother. I have George's RIC records and his death cert and some other information which I can give you.

Please send me a PM (personal message) and we can exchange email addresses. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi
I have two marriage records, the first handwritten one lists George as his father but also have another marriage cert from North Tipperary Genealogy Centre and that gives his fathers name as John.  He had nine children including five sons William, George, James, Alfred & Robert so think George is probably the correct name.

Cavan / George Woods from Cavan but whereabouts?
« on: Saturday 30 July 11 16:31 BST (UK)  »
My great great grandfather George Woods was born around 1850 in Cavan, joined RIC in 1868 and married Susan Philips in 1876.  I have his RIC records and his marriage cert but can't find a birth cert or whereabouts in Cavan he was from, his father was also called George.  Can anybody help me?  Thanks, Brucky
