I wonder if you can help me - kind of hit a brick wall online - new to this and not sure where to look from here.
I am trying to trace my grandfather's parents - surname McCarthy.
My Grandfather was born at Coombe Hospital Dublin 20 March 1924 and the birth was registered in district No3 5th city on 3 April 1924. Unfortunately they didn't register a name for him but it was Joseph Michael or Michael Joseph - not too sure.
Their names were Bernard McCarthy and Bridget (nee Masterson) address on the birth cert is minnowbrook lodge terenure.
Bernard was a labourer at the lodge - is there any way of finding more about them (marriage, death) or the history of minnow brook lodge - he was a labourer there - the lodge was owned by Patrick Ryan.
Any advice or help would be appreciated - stuck in the UK and I understand the records can't be viewed online
