Most of these are fishermen Port Seton Cockenzie
John Horne b. 19th June 1764? m. Ann Pow 12 August 1791 had 7 children as follows
Janet b.1791
Peter b. 2 November 1794
Archibald b.1797
Johnb.9th September 1799 who married Marion Howie 27th Feb 1818 only know of 3 children                                          which John Horne b. 13th November 1821 was number 2
Anne b.1802
Charles 1805
William 1808
I am related to Peter Horne of Port Seton who being the eldest male and can assume  that John Horne b. 1764 parrents were a Peter Horne.
I am stuck getting a definite parrent for John Horne b.1764.I have several possibilities .One being John Horn(e) b.30 Jan 1736 Port Seton.m. Janet Forrest
Can anyone put me in the right direction or correct me in the above

On my Cockenzie/Tranent  born Horne tree I have a John Horne b. 13th Nov1821 who's parrents were John Horne & Marion Howie married 27th Feb.1818 Tranent.
Any Connection?
I have found looking at whole family groups in the area a good way forward. Most of this family were fishermen.i would be glad to share my tree to see if thier is any overlap.
As you would expect the surnames Grieg Blackie Ritchie feature in mine but it is difficult to work out from the few lines you have shared here.I think most of what I have is of the his parrents
