The banns of marriage between James Brindley & Jane Baker were published at St Luke's Anglican Church,Cannock 6th, 13& 20 Nov 1791 by J Rudd Curate prior to the marriage of James Brindley, bachelor, and Jane Baker, spinster, both of Cheslyn Hay on 12 Dec 1791. They were married in the presence of Samuel Whitehouse and Thomas Byrch. Groom, bride and Samuel Whitehouse made their mark. Thomas Byrch signed his name.
James, the eldest of the four children of Robert Brindley and Elizabeth Wheate was baptised 24 March 1771 at Norton Canes in the parish of St Michael & All Angels, Pelsall. He was buried at Newbury 22 Apr 1822. Jane was born Abt 1774 and was buried at Newbury 21 October 1820.
