Hi

I am hoping someone can help me.  I am searching any/all information on my 3 gg parents who are  Jean Michel born Ouen, Jersey abt 1800.  and Elizabeth Le Rossignal born St Ouen abt 1801.  Jean married Elizabeth Le Rossignal in 9/7/1825.

They had 3 children. Jean, Philip and Betsy

Jean (John) born 1826 St Ouen emigrated to Australia and married Catherine McGrath in Victoria in 1855  They had 9 Children.  I am pretty sure Philip born 1929 at St Ouen, married Emelie ?? in Jersey,  I don't know date or if they had any children.  Betsy born 1827 died the year after she was born.

With a lot of help I have found a 1841 census.  The 1841 has an Elizabeth aged 40 and Philip Mickel aged 13 living in St Ouen. The 2 Johns are not with them but could have been fishermen and away at sea.   both Jean jr and Philip were merchant seamen

I am hoping someone can help me please,  I am really grateful for all those who volunteer their time to help others.

Thanks heaps Kerryn

thank you so much for all the help

I have sent an email off to the archives so hopefully they will email me soon.

I am not sure how to find out if he was born in Ireland or England.  I have just asked his family if they have any idea.

Does anyone know if there is a way to find his father Joseph Kinsella as he was a private in the kings royal rifles

Thanks again Kerryn

Hi everyone

I am asking for help in finding the following,

I am trying to find the dob, pob, death and parents (anything and everything) of Patrick Joseph Kinsella.  Patrick married Catherine Walsh in  6/6/1942 in Liverpool Lancashire.  I have his marriage certificate that states he was 24 yrs of age at the time, so born around 1918,  he was a seaman in the merchant navy,  He lived at 14 Townsend St Liverpool when he got married.  His fathers name was Joseph Kinsella, was deceased at time of his sons marriage and his occupation was a private in the Kings Royal Rifles.

Catherine Walsh died in 1944 4 months after their son Patirick Luke was born.  Patrick Joseph abandoned the baby and the baby was adopted and raised by his maternal grandmother.

Thanks heaps for all the help you all give

Kerryn

thanks for that advice,  I have been seeking help through Ancestry,  which is how I found there was a daughter, There isn't any other relations who can help with this as no one knew she existed until 2 weeks ago.  I will try what you suggested

Thanks again Kerryn
