Thank you for the help that you are giving me it means such a lot not just to me but to my aunts as William and Maggie are there grandparents who we know very little about and i will try out what you say dont know if they marreid twice

Dont know what to do here as i have a copy of marriage cert when they married in scotland and it only states as follows William John Moore age 25 bachelor usual res Byres Road Kilwinning Samuel Moore cart driver deceased Jane Moore ms Lightbody.
Maggie Johnston spinster age 26 usual res Tornyard Kilwinning father Samuel Johnston bricklayer MaryAnn Johnston ms Mcdonald deceased

Hi RosemaryJoan i do have his fathers occupation he was a cart driver it does not say what his mother did William married a Maggie Johnston in 1909 it says his father was deceased have also found out that when regestering his first born son he stated that he married in Bangor Co Down in 10th Sept 1909/10 dont know if he was a bit forgetful if he was wetting the childs head he was 25 yrs old when he married Maggie was 26 had a child out of wed lock no W J Moores child was called voilet who we think was also born in ireland in 1905

Tryed to find the old mans draft but couldnt the Willam John Moore was married in Kilwinning Ayrshire Scotland in 1909 have wedding cert for this he was a garden labourer can you tell me please who Samuel Moore was married to the one you mention in your last thread kind regards  A Moore

No not yet was given a date through chat room 27th November 1884 but cant find this yet to say this is true think he would be 2 old for WW2 as his age was 43 in the 1930 census

He left on the SS SAMARIA on the 23rd OCT 1923 port of arrival was Boston Massachusetts port departed was Glasgow/Scotland thanks for your help
