Hi Mary thanks for the info tho im not sure if it helps or confuses even more!!
My interest revolves around John Flannelly (Flanly)and Ellen Killcullen ( my ggg grandparents) who i think were married on the 18th feb 1876 in Skreen but im trying to go sideways to try and find ouy more about there family.
The family you found do sound like they could be the same family (poss bros marrying sisters) but i also have a Michael who married a Ellen Nealis who had a son James in1878 in Ardebrone (Skreen) that was witnessed by an anne Kilcullen.
Do you have any ideas how i can sort  this lot out
Many Thanks Andy

Has anybody come across these families .They lived in Ardebrone around 1878. I think John Flannelly who was married to Ellen Killcullen had a brother Michael married to Ellen Nealis. Can anybody confirm if they were related or have any info on the Flannelly (poss Flanly) family Thanks

Sligo / Irish Birth/marriage cert advice
« on: Thursday 21 May 09 21:47 BST (UK)  »
Can anybody give me some advice about irish birth certs please. I have recently traced my relatives in Ireland thro the irish fam hist found and payed to view the record which is transcribed rather than original. Is it worth me buying the birth cert (will it give any more info) and if so how do i go about it.
The baptism record i have is for James Flannelly of Ardabrone,Skreen and Dromard on 20/11/1878.
Any advice would be very welcome

Hi Seira thanks for getting back so soon. Your g/mother Mary's brother John was my gg grandfather(which i think makes you and my dad second cousins!)I have a copy of Marys birth cert born 13 December 1890 as well as Sarah and Johns but not James as i cant find anything to do with him .John did not go to Scotland as you were told and in fact stayed in Liverpool as did all his desendants. I wonder if in fact it was James who went to Scotland! Also do you know any more about the Flannerys who went to America as my dad told me he heard 2 brothers went but knows nothing about it. Would it be possible to let me know the details of Marys marriage and death so i can fill them in on my branch.. Many Thanks
