 Jabez Herbert married Lemody Stringfellow on 21 Sept 1908          Mansfield District vol 7b 191

Jabez died  age 67 14 Sept 1916                                                      Mansfield District vol b 95

Lemody died age 88 in 1951                                                       Hitchin Hertfordshire vol 4b 149 
 (What was doing there)?

I haven't yet found either of them on the 1911 so any more info would be welcome

I still haven't found Abraham - see earlier post!

Hi Moira Thanks for that I did have those details but it is great to know your folks were from Thorne. I have found a record of birth for a William Collier Lee in 1837 Hull Trinity Church that seems much too young to be our William (it is an unusual name though and he may have been baptised as an older child as the birth would appear to be out of wedlock)but he and Ann must have married around 1846 as they have family from then on

I have the baptism record of a William Collier Lee as 28 june 1837 at Holy Trinity Hull. He was married in 1846 to Ann Wells!Apart from the age this doesn't ring true as I have him on all the census as William Collier having been born around 1825 . Two questions Would he have been baptised as an11 year old after what appears to have been an out of wedlock birth, can I find another record of birth anywhere or am I going down the wrong path

I am searching for the marriage of William Collier born 1825 Hull and Ann Wells born 1824 Thorne it would be in the 1840's as I have family born from 1846 in Hook.

Looking for the parents of William Collier (LEE)born around 1825 in Hull. Married Ann Wells Oct 1846 at Holy Trinity Hull.He married in the name of William Collier Lee but by the time the children were born from Oct 1846 he was only using the surname Collier.Children were Mary Ann, Harriet ,James, William and Wells.  Lived most of his life in Goole, was a ship owner later in life and died in 1901.
