Hi Chris I was wondering if you have a look at 77 Fordneuk Street I am looking for the last know address of my great grandmother Winifred Watson Fleming. Its a very long shot as I know that she was there in 1934.
With grateful thanks

Lanarkshire / I need help to find a marriage certificate
« on: Friday 01 May 09 18:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi I am desperate for someone to lookup a marriage for me in Glasgow. The marriage was of my grandparents John Fleming and Margaret Rodgers 1st June 1934 Calton Glasgow. I got this amount of information from their first borns birt certificate but would like to know their offical place of marriage/parents and witnesses that would be contained on the document. I am unable to travel to Glasgow myself and I am not sure if I could send for a copy with just this amount of info.
Can anyone please help either by looking it up or details if it can be obtained direct by post/online etc
Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi Sharon i do not know if we have a connection but some of your surnames are particular to my own family search that I thought I would get in touch as they may be cousins to my own line of Flemings.
I have connections to Flemings (my mothers maiden name) and Watson (my mothers middle name taken from her grandmothers surname).
Also Wallace my grandfather John Fleming had an aunt Rosann Fleming who married Peter Wallace in 1887.
I have missing Flemings and I have considered the possibilty that they emigrated.
Mostly the Flemings and Watsons I have found so far came from Calton,Bridgeton or Dennistoun area of Glasgow.
Do you think we may have a connection?

Hi Donna, I am interested in finding a Peter riddoch Wallace who married my grandfather (John Fleming) aunt Rose Ann Fleming in 1887 Glasgow. At present I know that they had 8 children Peter, Roseann ,Mary, James,Kate,Annie and Lizzie. I know that Roseann junior went on to marry Charles Burns 1917.
Are these conected to your Wallace research?

Hi I have only just joined here my mum's cousins are Mckechnie and they hail from Glasgow.
My Mum- Winifred Watson Fleming
Her parents John and Margaret Fleming
Margarets parents John and Mary Rodgers
Margarets siblings Janet (Jenny) married McEwan, James married Catherine Turnbull,Mary (Maisie)married John Mckechnie.
John possibly had a brother Daniel as he is a witness on James Rodgers marriage cert.
My cousin is searching this side of the family so I can get more info if you think it help.
