Stumbled across "rootschat" via a Google search.
John Boyal Gosling was my Great Great Grandfather, Born in Long Sutton Lincs 7th Feb 1859
His birth certificate says "John BOYAL"
In the 1861 Census he is recorded as "John ROYAL"
On the Marriage Certificate of my Great grandparents (William Henry Gosling / Mary Ann Howells, in Guisborough 1905) he is recorded as "John BOYLE" - Publican!!
Currently searching for more info about John Boyal's father, Edward Gosling.
I also want to know more about when the Goslings moved to Gusiborough from Lincs left agricultural work and became Iron Stone Miners.
Interested to see below that John Boyal may have died in Doncaster.
My Grandmother Olive Gosling (eldest child of William and Mary) was born in Guisborough, along with 3 siblings but the 3 younger siblings were born in Doncaster. One is still alive, living in New Zealand.
I am keen to share info.
