Hi there Genuisscuffy

Thank you for your responce to my thread.

Do you have any details of the father William Hollingworth, his wife name or his DOB.

Our Hollingsworth & Hollingworth family come from Bourne, Beeston, Chilwell, Colsterworth, Grantham, and Attenborough, all roughly in the same area I believe.

Does you have any of these names connected around your Hollingworth/Hollingsworth. Glenn, Moore, Avery, Hallam, Hudston, Smedley, Winfield, Sleight or Slight.

Hope this information helps. I do have an Elizabeth but that is all just the name at the moment.

Thank you.

Stringbean  :)

Hello Lydiaann
Thank you for your information.

This may help as we don't have alot of information on George Sleight and every input can lead to more information. Being a Sleight he could still be family some where along the line.

Thank you
Stringbean

To all who may be interested in this thread?

Here is an update as most of this thread information is in the Derbyshire section
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,361956.15.html

As you will see there has been a lot of input to this thread plus the link to the site on Beeston

Anyone interested in Beeston this is a brilliant site full on Beeston history.

Good news, I have found that my family tree connects to this family tree.
Starting at the Hollingworth tree and his first name on this tree is Thomas Hollingworth who is my great grandfather who is married to Mary Ann Moore nee Glenn.
I have found that the name varies between Hollingsworth/Hollingworth.

This tree has 343 individual names and 86 unique surnames,
these are the main names in this family tree.
14 Hollingworth
150 Hudstons
20 Smedleys
26 Dennis

Thank you
Stringbean.

Hello

I'm looking for the parents of Ashton Keal who was born 1825-26 from laceby.

On the 1881 census he lived at 11 Cooper Lane Laceby and believe he had 2 wives.
1st wife Charlotte Spendley
2nd wife Agnes McKenzie.

Thank you

Although I have been busy with the above information I haven't found a Marriage for Noah Glenn yet.

Hi Suz
Nice to here from you and thank you for spending the time to find this information for me.

From your information I now know all these children have to be ours. I was not sure of Jack & Florence and did not know of Jacks Death.
I can not find Doreen on the FreeBMD, I keep trying but no informarion at the moment.

My mum Dorothy has always said she is the youngest of 15 and this now has found 12.
I know George Sleight & Lily Hollingsworth were married in 1915 at Basford, Nottingham. George was 38 and Lily 20 so I think George was married before lily and could have had 3 children.

I also know they have lived at Beeston in Nottingham.

thank you
Stringbean.

Hi Paulene

Finally got round to adding your names to my tree, I don't know if you are aware that you have added 11 names to my family tree, thank you. :-*

I found the site on Beeston very interesting, some really good photo's and valuable information, I was impressed with the church yard details.
Anyone looking at this thread, If you are interested in Beeston History I can highly recommend you take a look.

Paulene do you recall where you found the following information from, so I can put on the record of my tree.

Thoma's parents were Herbert and Ann - then it looks as if Hebert's dad was John (a framework knitter), and his mother was Elizabeth. Herbert was christened at Attenborough Church - 08 Oct 1837 (this isn't on www.familysearch.org - but it looks as if the previous one for his father is).

You have spent a lot of time with my tree Paulene but how is yours going. Your picture you have on your site, is this your mum ( she looks very happy).  :D

Thanks
Stringbean  :)
