Hello everyone,

I just opened my email to find beautiful photos of my G-Grandfathers headstone taken kindly by MancsMan, and I would love to send him a sincere Thank you.  I have printed out the photos for my records and saved them on a back up disc so if computer does go down again it wouldn't be lost.   Thank you !!!!!

I received from Derik del copy of the cemetery record of my G-Grandfather and G-Grandmother, I send a sincere Thank you to him as well....Thank you !!

Also to my surprise I received an astounding amount of information from Migky, who so kindly researched  the youngest of my Great Uncles Robert L Boal and brought me to present with that part of the line and I can finally make contact with a 1st Cousin once removed!!!  I send a sincere Thank you to Migky as well.... Thank you.

I have been so lost trying to do my English family, not knowing where to find things and then computer crashed and everything lost.  But in just a few days with me posting here, I have more then I had found the first time.  Give yourselves a huge pat on the back everyone for helping someone you have never met.  I can't say anything else but Thank You ever so much.

Thank you I will try to find their email addresses and start emailing them.  I did search everything I could online, and only found that it had something to do with Drama and arts.  Thank you everyone for all the ideas you have mentioned, sooner or later I will find it.

Thank you wonderful group

I have searched every online record for mention of his OBE.  I still haven't come across anything, but there has to be some place that keeps an ongoing record of who receives them wouldn't you think??  I am still searching.

I had reposted this again because my computer crashed and I lost all photos.  I am sorry if I am asking too much reposting.

I was wondering if anyone can look up Robert Boal and Ellen Jane Boal for me.  I would also love if anyone could take a photo of the headstone if possible.  I don't know if any other Boal names are in that cemetery.

Thank you

Hi Rick,

I sent you a PM with my email address as you aren't allowed to put it up here.  I have the 1911 Census and pretty much followed the family back from there.  I don't have any obituaries on any of the family, and I did a search of the Times Archives and found nothing about an OBE.  Robert Leach Boal was also at one time with the fire brigade, as well worked in a Packaging company of some sort. I would like to say you have really made my day with this find.  Thank you ever so much, it really means a lot to me.

Hi again Rick,

If you are digging up information for your friend on my Gg-Grandfather I would love to see anything you happen to find.  I haven't been able to find an Obituary, and knew nothing about a citation given to him.  Wonder if something was ever in the newspaper about that or maybe a photograph of him.... So many questions still not being able to get answers.  I am tickled you contacted me about the headstone.  Like I mentioned before, I have been searching and searching to find where he and his wife Ellen were buried.
Next thing is finding his obituary and that of his wife whom died in 1950.  My Uncle in Ireland will be so happy we finally found them, Uncle is well into his 80's now.  If you have any advise how to get more information, please let me know.

Rick

That would be so awesome of you to do.  I have been searching everywhere to find where he is buried.  Maybe his wife's name is there aswell if that is truly where they are buried.  Wonder if the cemetery has a online listing of who is buried there, or if they are open is it possible to ask them for their email address so I could contact them.  So hard to research someone from so far away.  I really appreciate what you are doing.  If I can help you out anyway just hollar.
