Hi

Just read your notification - David Prosser was my Great Great Grandfather's brother. I believe they were living at 17 Brook Row, Fochriw at the time of Elizabeth's death.  They had four children Margaret, Ann, Thomas and Arthur.  Elizabeth's maiden name was Evans and she was born in Aberaeron, Cardiganshire.

If you still have the death certificate I would love a copy if possible - my e-mail address is

Hi

Just wondering how I can get hold of a copy of the original book as it has some great stories about my ancestors.  My Great Great Aunt was Sarah Griffiths (nee Frost) who you mention in the book was known as the Witch of Tregagle.

I am fairly local so I will either pop up to Monmouth to get a copy or if you could possible let me know the names of the local bookshops I might ask them to post one to me.

Hi, could you please tell me how I may get hold of a copy of the book - my local library did a book search for me last year and came across a book called Penallt a village miscellany, is this the first book to which you refer.  If so I found it completely enthralling as my ancestors, the Frost and Griffiths family both lived in Penallt from the late 1700 onwards and some of them were mentioned in the book.  Could you possibly tell me whether any mention is made in the new book of these two families or the property the Frostlands.

Hi Glen

I have come across your query Re the Ellis/Colman family.

I have a William Ellis married firstly to a Beatrice Driver and secondly to Elizabeth Howells (nee Nash) who is my husband's GGGrandmother. The family are from Coalway Land End in the Forest of Dean.  On the 1901 census Frederick Ellis can be found living in Coalway Land End along with his father and step-mother. Also living there at the same time is my husband's Great Grandfather Albert Howell.

Out of all the Ellis and Howell children at least 7 of them moved to the Bridgend area, the first being Henry Howells in the mid 1890's.

Hope this is of some help.
