Whoops! Just found your post on the chat. I haven't been on here in months as you can obviously see. Have been out of pocket for awhile. This info is very helpful and interesting. No wonder I haven't been able to find anything on J. J. as it was in Templerainey and not Johnstown.
I really don't know anything about Ballykeane, only that JJ was born in Redcross.
You can email me at (*). Would love to hear from you. Pam

Dublin / Re: FREE LOOK UP FOR DUBLIN, IRELAND.

Your offer is extremely generous. I am looking for my gg grandmother, Charlotte Elizabeth Hinkson, born 1851 in Dublin. She married John Joseph Burne of Wicklow.  Her brother is Henry Albert Hinkson, born 1865. He married Kathryn Tynan, an Irish poet. I would surely appreciate any help you can give me. I believe Charlotte and Henry were Church of Ireland, while Kathryn was Roman Catholic.

Dear Kate,
He was born in 1838 in Red Cross, Co. Wicklow and I haven't been able to find him on any site, Griffiths, or the 1901 census. I have a copy of my Grandmother's birth certificate and can't find her either. She is Mary Elizabeth Jane Burne, born Johnstown, Co. Wicklow 7-31-1881 and emigrated about 1906 to Canada. Her mother, dad and several siblings came the next year. He had sold his property and built a new home in Alberta. :( Thanks for your help.

Wicklow / Burne family
« on: Monday 22 November 04 22:28 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for info on the Burne family from Johnstown. I am a direct descendant of John Joseph Burne who emigrated to Canada about 1906 with his wife, Charlotte, and their adult children. He is supposed to have owned a farm in Wicklow and also in Cork and was called a gentleman farmer. Thank you for any and all information.
