 Wiltshire Gazette on 19th December 1839. It read:
WANTED FOR THE CONSTABULARY FORCE
in the COUNTY OF WILTS.
CONSTABLES.
Their pay to be 17/6d. per week, with clothing.
To be under forty years of age.
To stand five feet six inches without shoes.
To read and write and keep accounts.
To be free from any bodily complaint, of strong constitution
and generally intelligent.
The form of certificate of character to be signed by one or
more respectable persons, who have had personal knowledge
of the candidate during the last five years at least, either singly
or collectively, may be had by personal application to
Captain Meredith at the Magistrates' Office at Devizes
on Tuesdays and Friday, until on 31st December instant,
between the hours of ten and three o'clock.'

Because you cannot find a burial in the parish records you should not assume that the child baptised in 1753 did not die.

In his Will, Richard Vokins mentions his son-in-law Adam Lawrence and wife Sarah.

Ellen Norah is not there. Jane was born in 1817.
I see that the Familysearch tree is [was] mine originally. It's been added to and altered by other people since I last looked

I have since the earlier posts on here done some more research and found a few more facts. Maybe I should have updated the thread.
William Waring Dove never married Jane, he did marry Eleanora Lock. He died in 1879 and the name varies on different records. [Waring, Warin & Wareing]
His fathers name was Thomas & his mother was Sarah, maiden name Sandle.
Jane I am afraid I have not found at a later date.
