This is a repost as I didn't receive much response last time.

This photo just seemed to appear in my parents collection and none of us know who it is although the chap sat bottom left has a strong resemblance to my father in looks.

Can anybody help to give some idea of when it may have been taken? Note in the background there is a person stood who seems to be wearing unusual clothing, (possibly indian?)

I have also scanned the back of the photo/postcard

Thanks

Kev

Scotland / Look Up Request

I'm trying to find a marriage record for my gt gt grandparents.

They are John Kennedy b1831 and Betsy Cranmer b1833

I know they had moved South of the border by 1855 as that is when their first child was born in Lancashire. English Census returns record both their place of birth as Scotland (possibly perthshire). They don't apear to be on the 1851 english census.

Can anybody help?

I've just discovered in the National Burial index that one of my Ancestors was buried at this Cemetery. I've been there to have a look and i know that it is somewhat delapidated but does anybody know if it is at all possible to Locate a specific grave here?

My ancestor is Betsy Kennedy, Died April 16th 1907, buried April 20th.

I'm not expecting to find that actual grave (but it would be a bonus if i did), I'd just like to know if there is anybody else in the same grave. I'm hoping to findher Husband John was was my Gt Gt Grandfather and proving to be somewhat elusive.

Hope somebody can help.

Regards Kev.

Hello All

I have a postcard/photo in my family's possession and wondered if anybody could date it for me?

It is the one on the attachment which has the coffin being carried. I've also scanned and attached the back of the postcard too.

Hope someone can help.

Hi Carole and DDJJake

Thank you both for taking the time to assist me. I'm very grateful.

DDJJAKE, Betty Cranmer doesnt seem to fit in with my ancestor as she was 2 yrs younger than john, and she wasnt born in ireland. However, I'll certainly keep it in mind.

Re: John. Do you have a copy of scottish census transcripts from which you gleaned the information from?
