Hampshire & IOW Lookup Requests / Re: 1881/1891 census Charles M. CHILD b. Hants

Hi.
In the photo album I possess regarding Dampier Child there is a cdv photo of a Miss Fielder next to a CDV of Rev Thomas Child of Upper Clatford.
I could not see the connection but it would now seem that this Miss Fielder was Elizabeth who lived with the family after Mary’s death.

Worcestershire / Re: Porcelain research

thanks Dancing Master
however, unfortunately, this is all well known to me. My research encompasses many years but is largely unpublished. I am really looking for the unusual facts that might be uncovered by family historians delving beyond the usual resources.
I would also point out that a lot of the information on the Internet is unsubstantiated with the notable exception of Rod Dowling’s excellent work at http://www.kalendar.demon.co.uk/
Any information - no matter how seemingly trivial - might help me.
There is a limited amount of information on my own website at http://www.surfworcester.co.uk/porcelain.html
It needs updating when I get round to it!

Worcestershire / Porcelain research
« on: Thursday 29 January 09 17:16 GMT (UK)  »
I am interested in the origins of Bristol & Worcester Porcelain - essentiallly the 1740 - 1755 period.
Names of particular interest are Benjamin Lund, William Crispe, Richard Holdship, Robert Podmore, John Lyes, Doctor John Wall, and William Davis of Worcester (a very common name unfortunately).
If anyone has come across any information I would be grateful to hear from them.
I have much information on potters etc if others are interested.

I have a postcard of John Quee’s butchers shop at 108.
Any ideas of where exactly it would be?
thanks
