Hi Anel~Eyes, I believe the Joseph that came to Utah is the son of Samuel Argyle and brother of Thomas Argyle who married Louisa Corbett since he was born around 1817 whereas Joseph, son of Thomas, was born 1855. Great article and thanks for sharing. It looks like it has pics of Joseph and his two sons from what I have seen so far. Take care and Happy Searching

I am just looking at them right now and excited to compare notes. if you have any questions on names and/or dates let me know as I have a fairly large family tree going. My husbands descends from Ira & Louisa, their son Milton Donald Fisher who married Marie Snider. Would love to keep in contact. I will send you a private message with my email. Just an update on Thomas Argyle.  I got ahold of his death cert which has his mother's last name as Corbett which confirms that the above Thomas Argyle & Louisa Corbett are his parents. Yeah!  Also, his birthdate is Feb 3 1838 & christened Dec 25 1838. I also found that father Thomas Argyle's father was Samuel Argyle and Louisa's father was Edward Corbett.
Take care & Happy Searching,
Kristal

Hi Anne
I would love it if you could share or post any info you find out about William Pickard and Mary Farquhar. I still have not found much on them either. It would be great to fill in blanks. Happy New Year and Happy Searching.

Hi there. I am looking for Thomas ARGYLE's parents. He was born between 1837-1839 in Birmingham. He grew up and became a Royal Enigineer (Sapper). Afterwards he setteled on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada and became a lighthouse keeper at Race Rocks. He married Mary Ellen TUFTS between 1863-1867. Thomas died March 14 1919 in Victoria, BC. They had 10 kids. I have possible parents being Thomas ARGYLE and Louisa CORBETT. I would love to know if I am on the right track and any extra info would be great as he is my husbands great grandfather. Happy Searching

Hi fellow Pickard searchers

I descend from william and Mary (Farquhar) Pickard. I do not have any dates for them yet. They are as far as I have gone on the Pickard line. Wondering if anyone knows the parents of William and or Mary. had a son William born about 1805 and died June 24 1888 in Fetterangus, who married Elizabeth Lillie Brown born sept. 5 1805 in Longside and died Mar. 2 1887 in Longside. Her parents were John Brown and Isobel/Isabel Warrender. William and Elizabeth had 10 children including a Robert that I have being born July 18 1839 in Longside. Their son William married Isabella Gray Smith and their son John Brown married Annie Sinclair and their son Leslie McGaughie is my great grandfather who married Jean Lochhead and their son Leslie Gordon is my grandfather who married a Gorrie. If anyone has any old pickard pics or other info it would be greatly appreciated. I can also give more names/dates.
