Hi Mike,
Kathleen Owers Matthews married Thomas Edwin Owen in 1920 under the surname Shaw. She was 26 years old and a widow.

Thank you kindly, the births were registered in West Derby so it's most likely they are not the children of Thomas and Kathleen.

Thank you for the help.  Kathleen Owers Owen's maiden name was Matthews.  Kathleen was first married to Alfred Shaw here in Vancouver, Canada in 1913.   Alfred and Kate returned to England in 1914 and Alfred died in 1915.  Kate then married Thomas Edwin Owen in 1920.  I don't believe she was well known so there probably isn't an obituary notice. Complicated family......both Kathleen and Thomas immigrated to Vancouver in 1910 on the same ship.....they must have kept in touch because after the war (Thomas joined the Canadian Army) he went back to England and married Kathleen. There are five children listed on the BMD site for a father Owen and mother Matthews but without sending for the certificates I haven't been able to determine if they are the children of Thomas and Kathleen.  I was hoping a obituary notice might give some clues.  Thanks again for your help.

I'm looking for an obituary notice for Kathleen Owers Owen.  She passed away Dec. 8th, 1992 in Glenavon Rest Home, Granville Park, Aughton, Ormskirk, Lancashire.  Kathleen was the widow of Thomas Edwin Owen of Ormskirk.  I'm trying to find if Thomas and Kathleen had any children. They married in 1920.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Dorothy

Cougar,

Thank you for trying. Your help is greatly appreciated. 21 Green Street is the address given on the baptism records in the Parish of St. Mary Spittal, Middlesex, Dec. 9, 1846.  Perhaps they had moved by 1851. John was listed as a Tailor.  I have no other record for this family until the marriage of son Frederick William Brock in 1862.  He married Isabella Sheppard in the District Parish Church,  St. John the Baptist, Hoxton, Middlesex.

I'm slowly learning to navigate this site and found clicking on the world produced your web address.  What a beautiful site, your family tree is lovely.  Thanks again, Dorothy

Hi, I'm also searching for John McAuliffe, born in Cork abt. 1812. He married Margaret Fitzgerald in 1838. She was born 1815. Their first son, Patrick was born in 1839. in Cork. Other children were Hannah, Mary, Catherine, William, Jeremiah, Cornelious and Michael.  This is not your family as they crossed the big pond to Ontario, Canada. I'm wondering if you've come across this family while searching for your John McAuliffe. Thanks, Dorothy
