Hi, My Grandad's Uncle Joseph Harrison  B Mottram  lived in 86 Back Lane Hyde Cheshire in the 1881 census he died aged 36 yrs in 1890 his wife was Elizabeth & Children Allan b 1875 Joseph Harrison b 1881,Allan wife Maggie Bickerstaff died aged 39 1916-he remarried later. emigrated to Sydney Australia in 1957 died aged abt 99 yrs with Daughter Edith Phillips & Billy her husband, another daughter & Fam went earlier,Edith's Daughter Joan went & her son David stayed in Wythenshawe, photograph's  of Allan 2nd wife & Edith Harrison (Phillips)on Calling Wythenshawe families,

Hi, I am searching for decendants of  Grandad Joseph Brown B Liverpool, he was a cousin to Allan Harrison & 1st wife Maggie Bickerdike a Blacksmith from Denton Hyde,, Children, 1 son Herbert ( who had a Daughter).- daughters Mary Elizabeth- Edith b 1906- May-, Maggie died & Allan remarried, they later lived in Wythenshawe where they made Leather goods from Home,Edith b Feb 1906 was Married to Billy Phillips in 1931 he was a Photographer & lived in Wythenshawe  & had a son  & Daughter  they emigrated to Perth Australia with Father Allan aged 82  in 1957 died aged abt 99 in 1974 &  Edie & Billy's Daughter  probably Married as not on Ship Manifest with them, son stayed behind. Daughter  stayed Behind,Daughter *  aged 53 Emigrated with Husband  * aged 54 Builder Son * aged 26 Builder -Daughter in Law * aged 20 address 10 Ryeburn Ave Wythenshawe Manchester.  * didn't marry. * possibly Emigrated also.

Allan's Father Joseph Harrison b 1853 Mottram Cheshire  (son of Joseph Harrison b 1830 Mottram & Harriet  nee  Cooper) b Hollingworh 1829) died aged 36 in  March 1890 at 86 back Lane Hyde, Grandad Joseph Brown b Jan 1874 Liverpool & sister Harriet Brown b Dec 1880 Liverpool lived with the family till 1890 after his mother Mary ann Brown nee Harrison  b March 1852 Mottram disappeared in Feb 1886,Grandad Joseph & Harriet Brown put in the Salford & manchester home for abandoned - Poor Children till found we assume by her Brother Joseph.

Mary Ann's Husband was Evans Bates Brown an American mariner,he drowned in the potomac River accidently while alone aboard a Schooner in June 1903. Harriet Died in America before 1903 when grandad arrived after Boer War to bring her home to England he had enlisted in the Kings (Liverpool) Regiment in 1892 when he found she had been sent to Canada from the liverpool Sheltering home in 1892 after he had gone tramping (searching for work),

Hi, My Gggreat Grandparents Joseph Harrison b1790 Mottram in Longdendale Cheshire Married in St Micheal & all Angels Church Mottram abt 1812 to Sarah Clayton, they had many children 2 Son's Samuel who died soon after Birth, Daughters Sarah- Elizabeth Hannah- Eliza- Mary Ann- Jane-Harriet-(not in that order) Joseph b 1830- Allan 1834?- Allan died aged 25.
    Harriet Harrison Married Joshua Hall abt 1860 son of Robert Hall Cotton  Spinner/ Doubler  "Kingston Mill" Owner, Robert Hall & Son Ltd they lived in Newton Hyde Cheshire in Kingston House  & Had 5 Sons, Allan Harrison Hall-Joshua Hall-Robert Hall- Joseph Harrison Hall- Henry Hall- Joshua  took over later & lived in Kingston Hall.Robert also Partner lived elsewhere.
I have found Joseph Harrison's b 1853 Mottram Wife  Elizabeth nee Burgess in 1881 Denton a Visiitor to her Parent's with Son Allan 5yrs Joseph 7 months old,In 1891 Census living in End of 7 Hyde Road Denton with Elizabeth widow aged 35-Son Allan 15-son Joseph aged 10.
1901 Allan Harrison 25 Blacksmith-maggie wife 25-Elizabth Harrison Mother 47-
Mary Elizabeth Daughter 1 month.
Joseph Harrison 20 Brother of Allan-son of Elizabeth Harrison.
1901 Census.8 Bowden Street Denton  Elizabeth 47- Son Allan Harrison 25 Blacksmith--Maggie 25 Wife nee Bickerdike-Mary Elizabeth aged 1 month-Joseph Harrison 20 Son Cycle Builder.our Grandad Joseph Brown & Sister Harriet lived with them from 1886- to abt 1890 until their uncle joseph Harrison Died in 1890.
1911 Census-38 Pitt Street-Allan Harrison Head aged 35 Blacksmith Shoeing Smith -Maggie aged 35- Mary Elizabeth 10- Herbert 7 B 10th August 1903-Edith 5 b 15th Feb 1906- May aged 3- 1908 born Denton-Elizabeth 58 Widow Mother - May T May Pilkinton 28 Boarder Married,
Allans wife Maggie Died aged 39 in 1916-he Remarried in 1921 to Clarice A Southworth. Edith Harrison Emigrated to Perth Australia abt 1948 with Fiance? Billy Phillips possibly married before leaving?,Edith lived with Grandm'a Margaret & Joseph Brown for a while in her Teens,She lived in Wythenshawe Manchester  later,

Joseph B 1830-Married Harriet Cooper June 1851.Children Mary Ann B 25th Feb1852 & had Joseph Harrison B 19th June 1853.D 3rd March 1890.according to Joseph Harrison Snr Will in 1870 Joseph Jnr was living in Australia (he cut his Granddaughter Mary Ann out of his will) we don't know if wife Harriet also went as she was in liverpool in 1861 Census with her Daughter Mary ann Harrison aged 10 her mother Mary Cooper & Aunt Mary ann Cooper & Great aunt ?Earnshawe, her son Joseph was living with his grandparents in Mottram in 1861.

Ggrandmother Mary anne Harrison B March 1852 Presumed died in a Manchester Workhouse from Consumption? after 1886- Joseph b June 1853.D march 1890 Hyde Cheshire.
Ggranmother Mary ann Harrison b 1852 married an american Mariner Ggrandfather Evans Bates Brown B Fairfax va 1850. (Drowned in the Potomac river June 1903)  5 thApril 1873 in Liverpool.
Son Joseph b 06th jan 1874 Liverpool
Daughter Harriet b 30th Dec 1880 Liverpool They were put in a home in Salford Manchester Feb 1886 after their mother Disappeared Feb 1886, we presume their uncle Joseph found them.. I found them in liverpool 1891 Census, presume had lived with Uncle Joseph ( He was Married with at least one son). till he died,  Harriet after being put into Liverpool Sheltering Home in April1892 2 weeks later was sent to canada till found by Father & sent to Va Usa 1895-6.. she died before grandad arrived in Usa to bring her home in Feb1903 after being in the Boer war.
