Kilkenny / Re: Ellen Bolger, born Kilkenny about 1833
« on: Monday 25 April 11 01:33 BST (UK)  »
I'm looking for the birthplace of an Ellen Bolger but Bolger was her married name I don't know her maiden name as well as her husband Edward.  Edward was from County Wicklow and they had children John (born about 1827), Richard (born about 1830), Mary (also born about 1830) and maybe Eliza (born in US ? about 1847) there could have been others and they left Ireland for NY in I think 1837.  Trying to find other Bolger family and what part of Wicklow they were from??  Mary Bolger married Patrick Duffy in NY I believe they are my great great grandparents.  Thanks anyone for any help. Best of luck on your searches.

HI, I also noticed you mentioned something about a Ballyseedy cemetery having Huggards in it, have you found out anything more?  I don't know where my great grandmother is buried although she and my great grandfather raised my grandmother in dingle so maybe she is there?

I was just researching Huggards and I came across your note. I am totally new to this site but my great grandmother was Kate Huggard from Clahane and her father was Richard Huggard and wife Hanora Reidy according to the marriage certificate.  I think Kate was one of 10 kids. I have a picture of a Huggard farm in Clahane and a family tree.  The weird thing is the tree says descendants of Thomas Huggard and Margaret Reidy which contradicts the marriage certificate.  I don't know if this is the same family as yours?
