Dave you are a gem !!! :D

No I did not have the 1851 Census for his folks .... thanks !!!

My library has only in the last couple of years installed internet access for it users!   Probably have to travel to Canberra to access it ... if I am lucky ... that is a 2 hour trip each way up the Clyde ... a rather disgusting winding hill!!  Will have to rely on the generosity of fellow researchers such as yourself ...... ;D

I knew that he had died 1929 but had no idea where.

If you can help tracking the other two kiddies that would be great ... have no idea of where or when they were born ... 1861 Census maybe ??

I have another family of MORSE that I am trying to track ... but is not relevant to this list .... maybe you can help me with him also.  Alexander Thomas MORSE married Henrietta Mary MERIDEW 21st July 1772 St Luke's Chelsea ... he died 26th July 1814 in Bath ..... but where he was born or who his parents were eludes me and a fellow researcher here in OZ! They had 10 children and I have birthdates and places bar all bar their first child William Thomas MORSE born circa 1775 (aged 46 at time of death in 1821).  Any suggestions ?

Again many thanks for your help so far ....
Cheers
Jennifer

Dave
Thanks heaps !!!

Where do you access 'The Times" at ?

To the best of my knowledge he was not married twice ..... there are three boys in that gap    ........

Edward St John MORSE B About 1852 Edgbaston Warwick
Sydney MORSE B About 1854 Birmingham Warwick - from 1881 Census
Harold MORSE B About 1860 Birmingham Warwick - from 1881 Census

then there are  2 more  that I am looking for .. he apparently had 11 children!  Looks like I need to have a look at the 1861, although I think he was in Warwick at that time.

I was given their marriage as the 3rd January 1849 ... so the reference you gave fits nicely ... thanks!

Cheers

Looking for information on the above Francis MORSE and his family.  I believe he was the incumbent at St Mary's from 1864 until his death in 1886.

In particular I am looking for him on the 1871, as it appears that I am missing two of eleven children.

Thanks

Kris and Carmela
You are both wonderful ladies!
And I thank you for the extra effort that you have gone to trying to locate my Thomas........ but as I mentioned I know virtually nothing about him .... no marriage certificate (have not been able to locate their marriage anywhere!!! >:(.... not for lack of trying I can tell you  :'()

Thomas being born circa 1875 was only a guess, he looks a couple of years older than his wife Beatrice in photos and she was born Bedford 1879.

I think I will have to put this on hold until such time as I locate some more info on him !!!

Apparently the farm is just west of Alfold Bars ... on Oakhurst Lane I have been told by a lady from Ockley and another lister has told me that Alfold (both counties) is in Hambledon PLU ... can either of you confirm this for me?

I think my best chance is to try and find the births of the two eldest children William John 4th August 1914, and Ruth Phillipa July 1915  ... hopefully then I can glean a little more information on the elusive Thomas.

Again many thanks
cheers

Hi Kris & Carmela

Thanks for replying .... I guess I was hoping that the address of Oakhurst Farm would be sufficient to find Thomas in 1891 .... more information to light indicates that the farm could be located on the Surrey/Sussex border on Oakhurst Lane.... tis the silly season but I did not expect to find his wife and children in 1891  :D  ... was hoping that someone may have had an interest in this family !

I know very little about Thomas :'( :'( .... other than his name and that they were living at Oakhurst Farm when the children were born ... and that there is a possibility that there is a long connection with the area.

Thanks for looking anyway !!

Cheers

Anyone able to assist with any information on this family from 1891 Census?

I am a little confused as to the whereabouts of the farm... places mentioned are Alfold/Ockley/Bilinghurst .... unfortunately I am geographically challenged  :-[ when it comes to the UK and I cannot seem to get all places on the one map!

Looking for Thomas Arthur COOPER Born Circa 1875 .... also ( although they will not appear on the 1891 census) his wife Beatrice Evelyn COOPER Born 1879 and children William John Born 1914, Ruth Phillipa Born 1915 and Nancy Born ?

Many thanks
Cheers
