Hi there,

I have sent a message to the poster - just to clarify, my interest is in Caroline and Charles Warr - Caroline was my great great aunt - and the couple raised my grandfather - he is listed there in the 1911 census. I just wanted to find out who lived there when he lived there - as far as I am aware my grandfather lived there until he joined the army when he was 17. I was just trying to connect the names of the people listed as living there when my grandfather did!
Hope this clears things up, I have sent a message stating this.

Ireland / Passenger List Lookup Request please

I am looking for any information on THOMAS KEVIN KEANE b.24/02/1912.

He was born in Ireland but came across to England at some point before 1948 (date of marriage in England).

I am after a passenger list lookup to find out when he came over and who he came with - I haven't accessed these records before so any other information that is provided on this list would be gratefully received!

Hi all,

I'm still working on this one -

KATHLEEN (KITTY) was born in Kingston, Surrey - she was illegitimate and was born in a workhouse.

So how did she end up in Cheshire? Is there any way to find out? As far as we know - which isn't a lot - she had contact with her birth mother as someone in the family remembers her.
I also can't find a birth for her husband.

So I'm a bit stumped - how can I move forward and find out more about my great aunt?

George List was there from 1911 till 1921, however, strangely (and hence my post) my great grandmother gave birth to an illegitimate child there in 1916. I have no idea why she would be there (she was a housemaid/cook but I don't believe  at that house.) I'd loved to be proved wrong though, or have some reason to tie her to that house - which is a private property, not a place where women usually gave birth! I'm hoping that electoral rolls will give me some insight...

Can anyone help me with an electoral roll lookup please? I'm looking for the inhabitants of 'Brightlands', Gipsy Lane, Putney/Barnes (it's noted as both - Putney on the 1911 census, and Barnes on a birth certificate from 1916) in February or anytime in 1916.
