Thanks for the info  but I would like records pre 1835 (London) on apothecary/surgeons.
I have followed a number of links and inevitably go round in circles. (Computers and I .....well) :-[
I have also checked Australian records with no luck.
Regards
Zenobia

Dear Paulene,
Thanks for your help.  I had a look but couldn't find anything.
Have bookmarked the sites you gave and will check them out on a regular basis.
Once again, thanks

I am looking for James Charles RUSSELL born approx 1800.  He qualified as a surgeon (and possibly apothecary).  London is the only place I have.  He emigrated to Tasmania and married there 1833/4.   I have checked the death and there is no listing of place of birth.
Thanks.
Zenobia

I am looking for one James Charles RUSSELL who was an apothecary in London pre 1834 when he emigrated to Tasmania.  I haven't been able to find anything on him prior to Tasmania.

He went on to become a doctor and surgeon in NSW.

Thanks

Zenobia

George Ehlan - wife Carolyn - son Roger

Mum wrote to Walter until around 1953 - she sent a wedding photo which was later returned by Carolyn.

Where is Wisconsin in relation to Chicago?

Is it possible that patients were transferred between hospitals?

I had assumed Chicago as my mother used to write to him on a regular basis as a girl.  The mail went to the Chicago Veterans Hospital.  She can't remember the full address.  He also had a good friend - surname Ehlan (think I've got it right)

I am searching for Walter (M) MURDOCH  b:4 Apr 1891, Airdrie, Scotland to David Murdoch and Jane Patrick.  He emigrated? to the U.S. around 1917 (Chicago).  He was an Ohio Military man and enlisted on 04 Jun 1917-  Serial number 1540463 (National Guard).  Honourable discharge 12 Apr. 1919.
Walter spent the rest of his days in the Chigago Veterans hospital.  He would have died after the 1940's.  There is no mention of him on the Social Security sites nor can I find anything on the gravesite listings.
