Canada / My oldest rellie has passed

Sir Arthur Charles Edward Ramshaw who was my 4th cousin died 16 May 2025 in Nokomis Saskatchewan. He was born 18 Feb 1918 in Nokomis. While overseas for WW2 he met Betty Doris Stitchbury (1925-2019) and they married in 1945. In 2014 Arthur became a Knight of France's Legion of Honour. At the age of 102 he was still driving to have coffee with his buddies.

The Common Room / Tom and Mary Brayshaw deaths
« on: Thursday 15 May 25 17:42 BST (UK)  »
I have had no problem tracing Tom and Mary via census but am stumped looking for their death registrations.
Tom(not Thomas) was born abt 1849 and Mary abt 1853. They married 1871 Stockton and where living in Stockton in 1881. The family were living in Harrogate 1891,1901, 1911 and 1921. In 1921 Tom was living with son Thomas Eubank Brayshaw and described as a widower. I tried looking for Mary dod 1911-1921 but no luck . She is not the 1916 Lancaster death nor the 1919 Bradford death. Tom's death does not appear to show up in West Yorkshire. Given the length of time that they lived in Harrogate I would have thought that at least Mary's death would have been there.

Canada / Harding obits - Winnipeg

I would be interested in seeing obituaries for James H Harding who died 7 Jan 1951 and his wife Alice who died 23 Aug 1956. The dod are taken from public trees with no source identified.

Thanks

Thanks heywood. I saw the marriage but at the time I had no info leading me there. I think Harriet birth is shown as Harriett Lily A Lewis registered Jul 1885 Pontypool. This is another registration that does not show up in GRO.

Much appreciated

The Common Room / Looking for Conner parents

Lilah Agnes Polly Conner was born 24 Jul 1913 Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. Her parents were John Thomas Conner a coppersmith and Harriet Lewis. Lilah was baptised 11 Aug 1913 and parents shown as Thomas a coppersmith and Annie. The family does not seem to appear in 1921. Lilah and her father show up in 1939 living in Middlesbrough. Thomas shows dob as 18 Sep 1880, a widow and occupation is pipefitter. Thomas John Conner dies 15 Nov 1943 Middlesbrough at the 1939 address. He was a coppersmith at steel works and the informant was D J Charlton a daughter. There is a chance that Harriet Conner may have died 1931 Middlesbrough but the death record is not showing up in GRO.
I have the birth, marriage and death records for Lilah but documentation for her parents seems to be hard to find.
