Yorkshire (West Riding) / Brunswick Hotel, Fishersgate, York

I have had an address of Brunswick Hotel in Fishersgate, York, crop up in some documents relating to a family pre 1914.  Does anyone know where Fishersgate is? and indeed if there was a hotel there by this name?

I have tried searching for Fishersgate and had no joy and also the two Brunswick Hotels I can find are not in York.

Thanks all!

Surrey / Surrey - 1940's
« on: Tuesday 28 September 10 18:10 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for a family by the name of CARTER in Croyden, Surrey, in the 1940's.  Audrey Carter married a man named Bryant around this time. (numerous spellings also include AUDREE and ANDREE)

Can anyone who is maybe local or has access to anything for this area in this period possibly help me out!?!?

Ta,

People may already know of this, i have search but found nothing related so a general "broadcast"

I stumbled across this auzzie website which appears to have Australian Newspapers from years gone by.... bit like Times online.  It is free from all accounts.

Maybe it will be usefull to those of you with more Auzzie ancestors than me!

Happy Hunting!
