Sue,I am indebted to you.Thank you so much for all this info re:my Briant family.It seems the Briants were lightermen for the better part of 200 years.Great work.You´ve made my day

Hi Sue,I posted this before in the wrong place,so here it is again,
I have a whole family of Lightermen to beg you to look up for me if you can.They are all "Briant"surnames and all born lived and worked out of Wapping, starting with Isaac b.c1770,his 2 sons George Back Briant b.1798,and Frederick b.1801,
Fredericks 2 sons Edward Sancho Briant b.1832 & Frederick Thomas b.1826,and Edward Sancho´s 6 sons, George Edward b.1860,Edward James b.1864,Frederick b.1865,Charles b.´68, Henry b.´74 and William b.´77.
