I have an Isabella Codling in my tree, born 30 Nov 1779, one of 9 children born to John Codling (1750 - 1810) and Jane Foster (1750 - 1856), both of Roxby.

The Christopher Carter you are looking for could be the son of Christopher Carter and Elizabeth Hague christened 2/7/1712 in Kirby Moorside. At their closest, Kirby Moorside Parish and Danby Parish are only a couple of miles apart.

The Ellen Verrill who married James Thompson in Q1 1874 (reg. Guisborough vol. 9d page 763) was almost certainly the daughter of Isaac Verrill (22/2/1805, Staithes) and Ann Sanderson (7/3/1800, Staithes) who married 1821 in Hinderwell. They had 5 other children; Ellen was christened 5/2/1839 in Hinderwell

Harriet Theresa Welford (20/9/1851) was one (of 11) children of Matthew Welford (1818, Newton Mulgrave) and Jane Hick (c.1821, Scaling, Easington Parish) who married 5/12/1838 in Hinderwell.
Their other children (dates approx, all born Roxby) were;
Mary 1838, Ann 1840, Isaac 1842, Susannah 1845, Ellen 1847, Robert 1849, Matthew 1853, Henry 1857, George William 1860 and Ralph 1862

Harriet had a son, Albert, born 7/11/1870 in Roxby. His birth certificate doesn't name a father. He lived in Roxby with Harriet's sister Ellen Readman (ne Welford) from 1871 to 1891 and married Emma Barnes in 1892

She married Robert Seymour in 1872 and had a son Matthew Welford Seymour (born 1874, Boulby). Robert died in 1879 and in 1880 Harriet married Alfred Watts (c1850, Henlow, Bedfordshire), a widower with 3 children.

Yorkshire (North Riding) / Re: MIs for Loftus - St Leonard's church

I'm afraid there are no Garbutts listed in the St Leonard's MIs (published by Cleveland Family History Society). By the late 19th Century the churchyard was full and a new cemetery was opened at the east end of Loftus for use by all churches and chapels. As far as I know, no transcriptions have been made for this.

I have a transcript of GI's from St Leonards, Loftus, but I'm afraid your ancestor (or anything like his name) is not recorded,
