I've just discovered that my husband's GG grandfather, James Thompson CAMPBELL immigrated to NSW with his wife Jean Livingstone WALLACE.

James was born in 1851 in Kirkfieldbank Lanarkshire died 1929 in NSW and Jean was born in 1853 in Scotland, died 1915 in NSW.

Their daughter Jean L. Campbell married Cecil Sindel in 1921.

I am interesting in finding decendants of these people. If the names ring any bells I would be interested in hearing from you.

I found a Robert Kipling Crump on the 1916 Manitoba census, although I did not find his mum.

He is living in Springfield Manitoba.  I do not have a subcription to Ancestry.ca, so I can't see any further details but maybe SKS will do a look up for you.

Okay these folks are definitely on my husband's family tree

Daniel ACHESON son of Edward ACHESON was born about 1882 married Mary Ann HENRY on 03 Nov 1903 in Ballymoney, Co. Antrim, Ireland.

They had 8 children that I know of and immigrated to Canada.  They did not immigrate all at the same time, but all ended up in Alberta, Canada.
John       Born               Oct 23, 1905
Archie  probably Archibald    May 25, 1907
Daniel   April 17, 1909 born in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland
Peggy       possibly Margaret?            Jan. 25, 1911
Billy          Probably William               Jan. 1, 1913
Edward (Ned)    April 7, xx
Tommy  probably Thomas                 Feb. 29, xxx
 Hugh                    Sept. 9, xxx
  Mary                    May 19, xxx

John Acheson DOB 23 Oct 1905 arrived in Canada first
Daniel Acheson DOB 17 April 1909 arrived next,  one year after John on 19 May 1928

The most of the rest of the family  arrived in Quebec on May 4, 1929.  They sailed on the S.S.  Montroyal. Missing from this sailing were Achibald and Peggy.  Perhaps Peggy travelled seperately or stayed in Ireland as she was 18 years old.  Archie would have been 22, so maybe he stayed behind?

Daniel   ACHESON jr. April 17, 1909 born in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland married Isabella MacKINNON (born 23 July 1905 in Barra Inverness Scotland)  in Alberta date TBA.  They both died in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Daniel ACHESON and Isabella MacKINNON ACHESON had 5 children in Edmonton.

Hi
These folks belong to my husband's family tree.  What a surprise to read those names in the subject line

I'd be happy to take them off your hands and pass them on the right people.

There is a ship list and searchable index  that covers Quebec Ports (including Montreal) for the periods 21 Oct 1906 to 13 Oct 1910

I have been quite successful with this.

It can be found at
http://members.shaw.ca/nanaimo.fhs/

It doesn't cover very much, but it might be useful for someone.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Re: 1901 Census lookup - SWALES, Robert
« on: Sunday 04 January 09 16:10 GMT (UK)  »
Well, it seems that my knowledge of English counties and geography is woefully inadequate.

The 1891 census you found in Hunslet, Yorkshire I believe is my family and not the Robert in Northamptonshire.  I am not sure how I got so off course.

The presents of Mary Frampton in this household seals the deal.  My grandfather was known as George Frampton Swailes and he was born in Yeadon, Yorkshire.

Now any chance we can find out what their address was in 1901?

Many thanks

« on: Sunday 04 January 09 01:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I'm new here so I hope I am doing this right.

I would like to know any further details that are available for a 1901 Census record

I see a Robert and Louisa SWALES living in Northamptonshire
Robert was born about 1866.  I am most interested to know the address and city that they live in and occupation for Robert.

Any other details would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jaybird
