Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Re: birth in marshfield gloucestershire
« on: Thursday 03 January 13 18:09 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks Carole
That's the chap i am researching a real cad!
I think there is a connection with a Jenkins medical family that lived in Marshfield but cannot find his birth.
If anyone has any idea where i can look?
Thanks
Helen

I thought I'd add a little more info if that helps

I believe he may be the son of Abraham and Fanny Jenkins
or maybe a nephew
I also believe Mary Miles is his illegitimate daughter
Only because of family folklore and the fact she names him on two of her marriage certificates
No idea who her mother was only that she was born 1812 ish in Marshfield

He was sat in my Grandmothers photo album
The only military connection i can find in the family is a William Miles born 1833 Chipping Sodbury
or there were a couple of possibilities from ww1 but is it that recent?

Hi fellow Hathaway followers!

In response to dianacanada post : I am in early stages of investigating this side of family, but i can confirm that Charles Hathaway 1849 is the son of John Hathaway and Hannah Amsbury Punter

In response to dick90 post: Its all the same family but a different strain, I am assuming your grandmother was Rosetta? She was the sister of my ggrandfather William Augustus 1876

Would love to hear from you Helen

I thought it was Charles James B1828 son of John and Ann but looking at his marriage certificate my charles  names his father as James so i think i was mistaken
Thanks for the link
