Hi Dee

I have a contact email for Glynn's daughter. If you could private message a contact email, I will drop her a line for you (I can't give out her private email address for obvious reasons).

Thanks
Matt

World War Two / Murrie

I'm trying to trace a man with the surname Murrie (nicknamed 'Jock') who would have served in the army in WW2. Unfortunately I have very little information about him apart from being billeted in Sheffield in 1943, then Woking and then Glasgow all in the same year.

After that there seems to be no record matching.
Does anyone know of a way of checking what units may have been billeted in those three locations in 1943?

Hi Graham

Sorry to be so slow, only come back to the family tree once in a while (imagine you may not see this for a while as well) but yes we are related, your grandmother and grandfather would have been my great aunt and uncle and my father remembers them fondly!

Do drop me a private message and I can share what info I have on the family tree.
All the very best

Hi Clare,

Apologies - indeed I haven't been on here for a while but spoke to my father and understand some more of the family are doing some research - I'll drop you a private message with more information.

*Edited*

Be very interested to find out more about the Croudace clan - I'm sure my father would know your side of the family.

That's fascinating! Where did they come from? (if you don't mind me being nosey!)

Does that help fit Laura May Croudace in? All my line have now moved from Monmouth or sadly passed away (their home on the Kymin has been knocked down by now I think)

Would definitely be great to carry on this and see if it all fits together! The three different lines seem to make sense of what my grandmother used to say (three branches in three different parts of monmouth)

Happy New Year distant relative
All the very best
Matt
