It was by chance that I came upon this thread about Maxwell Clark. On Christmas Eve, I was trying to explain the relationship of some old family photos to my son. He wanted to "Google" his great-great grandfather, Maxwell Clark. The first site to pop up was RootsChat. We clicked on it and I was excited to read that you seemed to be researching the same line as I am.
My grandfather was Edward Noltie Clark. He was born in Scotland to Maxwell Clark and Mary Cowan.
Edward Noltie Clark moved to England. At some point (probably after Mary Cowan died) Maxwell moved to the Wirral to be with family.
Maxwell Clark died in Birkenhead Wirral on Dec. 19, 1914.
I am looking into Maxwell's parents as well. I am fairly certain that their are William Clark and Agnes Millar.
