I am researching the Stewart families from Ardnamurchan in Argyll and am related to Mary Stewart, who married Donald McDiarmid and moved with their children to NSW on the George Fyfe, via her sister Sarah.

I have been in contact with a number of my McDermid cousins over the last couple of years and decided to try and pull together a  tree of all of Donald and Mary's descendants. The "McDermid - Ardnamurchan & NSW" tree is publically listed on Ancestry.com and contains about 420 people. I have shamelessly "stolen" info from wherever I could find it, to try and come up with a "definitive" view of the family.

If you have an interest in this family and have access to Ancestry, please view the tree and send me any updates, or if you don't have access, get in touch and I will invite you onto the tree as a guest
