Yes, that Tom Nickels is a son of William Nickels of Gumeracha South Australia. I am the historian for Mount Pleasant, so am familiar with this family. I think they also have a photo of his headstone, but again, it is the incorrect Tom Nickels...

Tom Nickells was from Sweden b. in 1861, arrived in Australia in 1886 and was a station labourer. He was naturalised in 1896. He married Catherine (Kitty) McInnes (my particular interest) in 1901 in South Australia. Tom was from White Cliffs in New South Wales. They had three children b. 1902, 1903, 1904, all born in South Australia. Two died in infancy and a daughter, Yolande Kathleen who was born 1902 survived. His pastoralist lease at Wilcannia, Yungnulgra, was surrendered in 1906. They then disappeared. I have searched the various Australian BDM but have not been successful in finding them. They may have gone elsewhere but Ancestry does not have them pop-up at me... but I do not have a Worldwide subscription, so may be missing something because of that.
Any suggestions as to where I can search would be welcome.
I have done extensive searching on Trove, Familysearch, Ancestry and the various BDM sites, but that is not to say that I have missed something.
I would really love to have the death dates for Tom and Kitty.

According to Reg Butler's "The Quiet Waters By: the Mount Pleasant District 1843-1993", Wilhelm HAEUSLER, born c1813 came to SA 1846 on ship PAULINE, with his wife, the former widow KLINGE nee SCHULZ and their children. Possibly, the family farmed near Blumberg, but moved to Tungkillo, on new farm land at Section 6416. Eventually the HAEUSLERS crossed to Victoria, where they settled near Wodonga. Sons Ferdinand & Gottlieb farmed at Tungkillo and on the Murray Flats, before also moving over the border. This family originated from Ulbersdorf, near Zullichar, Brandenburg, Prussia.

There is also mention of Gottfried HAEUSLER, b. 1824 Nekla Hauland, Posen, Prussia, who settled at Hoffnungsthal, near Lyndoch and eventually Stony Creek between Mount Pleasant and Birdwood. Married Rosine nee MU(E)LLER. He died 1895.

Also suggested Gottlob HAEUSLER with wife Anna Elisabeth nee LINDNER, arrived ship PAULINE in 1846, living at Blumberg and then moved to Tungkillo c1858. Gottlob moved to Victoria with some of his children where he died 1915 at Sunbury, Melbourne, Victoria.

You can download a Scan app that actually scans the photos/documents, as opposed to taking a photograph of them if you prefer.
This group is amazing on restoring photographs. They have helped me bring very poor photos back to life considerably.

Thankyou Ian Wilson... so much... I did not think that this was able to be saved in anyway, and I am so grateful. This photo will be accessible to others from within the collection at the Mount Pleasant District History Room in South Australia.
Thankyou to everyone who has helped in this preservation... there will be more to come!!!

Apologies for the delay in replying... it has been one of those weeks.

This is the only photograph I have. Is there any possibility of at least giving a little clarity to this newspaper photograph.
These boys are South Australian, from Mount Pleasant and all enlisted with two making the supreme sacrifice in Gallipoli and the third losing his life in an accident in Perth, Western Australia.
I am appreciative of any change. Thankyou.
