Walter Ralph Russell MD married J S P Adams a 3rd cousin of mine I have data backwards for J S P Adams to before 1800. I see a birth record for Jennifer A Russell 1931 Bromley. The 1939 census for Ralph has a redacted child on it almost certainly Jennifer. There are no deaths listed that I can see any year. There are several marriages For a Jennifer A Russell the 1st in 1955

Thank you in advance for the data. You have already given me clues to help my searching by giving me the names of Williams siblings.

I recently found out that William McDonald born 1848 in Glenurquhart to William McDonald & Catherine McDonald nee McDonald married Elizabeth H Robb in June of 1885, a cousin of mine. William on his marriage record is given as a widower & Elizabeth as a widow. He is also given as a seaman in the RN on HMS Clyde. Has anyone on this list any data that may be of use to me as I have been unable to find/prove his parents via census returns or find any data for William. His parents names come from his marriage record.
His parents were married, I believe, 3 July 1844 at Urquhart & Glenmoriston, data from a Scotland's People record

Hi Pat,
Pleased is not the word for how I feel about the data sent. It is extremely helpful thank you. There was one rude surprise, that of the death of Robert 14 Dec 1819 son of Robert and Hannah in the the third e-mail. I had him dying 8 Oct 1836 and leaving a wife Barbara Thurlaway his first cousin of Birtley Bank Co Durham & children. So it is back to the drawing board there and the deletion of a whole raft of relatives for now at least. Any data on births will also be most welcome. In your 2nd of 3 messages you have a William d 10 Aug 1845 I have a copy of his will written over 4 A3 sheets of paper. Detailing how his land etc was to be shared amongst his wife, children and close relatives a very interesting document.
The rains continue here we are supposed to be out of the monsoon by now and into quite pleasant weather.
I'm guessing that you work nights and are able to do genealogy during quiet periods.
Thank you once more for the help.

Hi Pat,
Reply delayed due to computer problems. I do not have any Thirwell's on my tree, thats not to say there shouldn't be. I would be pleased to know of any MI's, I hope that is Monumental Inscriptions, as I know for certain that there is at least one stone in the  Whickham St Mary graveyard with birth and death dates for Robert Thirlaway. If it is not too much trouble an excess of data will be greatly appreciated.
Your side of the USA is having such a variety of weather this past month Brushfires because of drought, ice and snowstorms we just have heat and rain yesterday we had inches of rain.

Hi Pat,
Thank you for the speedy reply. I have Wm born in Lamesly & Isabel in Whickham. I had been led to believe that Wm was married to an Isabel Richardson with no date for the marriage. Would your index have that?
I have a Laura Thirlaway marrying an Alfred Reay abt 1934 and a Dugald Mowitt Paulin marrying my great aunt Rosanna Philip Robb in 1965 they were both pensioners at the time of marriage in my hometown of Wallsend upon Tyne.
You must be up with the lark to be writing to me assuming of course that you are in the UK

My tree starts with my 6 great-grandfather Wm Thirlaway marrying Isabel Ramsey on 7 June 1747 in Whickham.
I suspect that Wm had a previous marriage as he was 37 when he married Isabel. I have not been able to confirm my suspicions. Any help will be enormously appreciated. Contact with Thirlaway relatives will be a bonus. I have so far found 8 variatons of the Thirlaway spelling in use and have 22 variations from Ancestry sources most of which I have hopefully corrected.
