well its amazing what you get with a fresh head...lol
I found both 1861 and 1841 census... now for a look for marriage and death certs....
I even got my old map I have of Northumberland and was looking up all the areas they were born, Couldn't Find Thomas Young though, I'm sure the area of birth is spelt wrong but just couldn't find it on the map or anything close to the spelling of swarland....lol I do know a lot of places they spelling for them have changed a lot over the years.....

Northumberland / double check plz

Can one of you good ppl do a double check for me....
the family I am searching were mostly all born and lived Northumberland, in the Alnwick, Morpeth, Amble area

I have my grt grt grand parents :-
Ralph Armstrong born 1841 Mitford
Mary Spavin born 1840 Embleton

Ralph's parents I 1st had down as :-
Ralph Armstrong born 1780 Hatton
Elizabeth Trapps born 1824 Hexham
( but Ralph was down as born in Hexham with this family)

Now I found in a 1851 census a family living in Felton. the surnames were transcribed wrong.....
it it should read as follows :-

John Young Head age 33 born Scotland,
Eliza Young Wife age 39 born walkworth,
Mary Ann Armstrong Dau 12 born North Long Horsley,
Ralph Armstrong Son 10 born North Mitford,
William Armstrong Son 7 born North Mitford.

the diff surnames is baffling I do have a copy of the census if this helps anyone.... but my gut instincts say that this is they family I want...
I think I have put all info on here but if anyone need any more just ask..

I would be most grateful if someone could double check this for me and take me out of my misery and ease my aching bad head.....

I think you'll find that was 1896  ;)

The parents marriage appears to have been in Newcastle T in March 1/4 of 1892

Thomas Robert Routledge and on the same page Mary Calderwood.
