Hi
Does anyone know why  some apprenticed to the Company of Lightermen and Watermen would also be in the Apprenticeship Listings for the Company of Vintners? I am descended from two families of Clerks and eventually Masters of both Companys and they appear to have flitted Apprenticeship between the both. Which I find really odd..aside from the theory of nepotism of course!
Hope someone can clear this up for me
Thank you

Would you mind looking up a London Waterman for me. His name was James Purser and he was a waterman until his death about 1766. I think he was born about 1725. Any other Pursers would wonderful if someone has time
