Hi,
I live in Mosgiel and have some info on Errol James WEDDELL. Our genealogy group did a book on the  W W 2 soldiers killed in action. Errol is the son of Alexander McMillan WEDDELL and Eva (nee RICHARDSON) I am happy to scan the info about him and P M you with it if you would like. It is from the book we put out called" For The Fallen" the story of the 31 men of W W 2 who appear on the Mosgiel Cenotaph. The names seem connected so he may be your family.

Hi Prue,

He died age 85  at Lidcome state home and hospital, NSW and that was his last address, it also said he was senile so dont know if it would be worth trying, his occupation was gardener.

Thanks

Hi,
Robert John CLARK was born in Terrrington St John ,Norfolk, United Kingdom, and came to Auckland N Z with his mother Caroline (Nee UTTING) and his sister Caroline and brother Giles Frederick in 1865 on the boat Balaklava. His father Giles Ashby CLARK had died in Camberwell London in 1863.
Also on R J CLARK's death certificate his wifes name Louisa nee CRAGO was given. Louisa died in Auckland on 3 January 1942 and in her obituary after she died it said she moved back to Auckland after her husband died and had lived there for 30 odd years, so she must have moved back after he disappeared to Australia around 1903 (when he was last  known of listed in a Stones Directory in Dunedin.Otago N Z

I dont know if we will ever know what happened to him and of his time in Australia and if her ever married again.

Thanks for all your kind help and thoughts,
Jan (Otago N Z)
