According to my aunt, sarah anne married a man called john McEnhill from Killyclogher and they moved to Scotland along with her brother ned, my grandad James went over to them around 1906 to work in the coalmines and it was there he was conscripted to join the army .sarah Anne had a daughter called cathy who was a quailified teacher in London but found it hard to find work so she came to work for dr Flemming and was with him when he discovered Penecillin.I am not sure if she had other children but i will try to find this out. my name is sarah McKiernan and i live in Shergrim Glen so im beside you almost.

yes that is right ,they had 3 children , Ellen, Sarah and Maggie.hughs first wife died when the children were very young and back then a father was not allowed to rear the children himself (they would have been taken into care)  so he needed a house keeper but he couldnt be seen to have a live in house keeper unless they were married so he married wife no 2 miss gormley. They had 2 children ,Ned and another Ellen. His 2nd wife died in childbirth so houskeeper/wife no3 was Mary McSorley and they had James (my grandfather). Susan Jeannie,Agnes and Hugh (hows daughter married local poet Felix kearney).
