 :)

HI
Thank you for your very nice message which I have just read and will now dig out the old files  on my Kinchin relatives. I assume you have read the message from member Petur.  it's been quite a long time and I'm not sure if I had any further contact with him as I have not been active on site due to serious medical issues from July 2020 through to my latest bout Feb.2024.

I am now sending Petur a PM. and hope he is still looking for family history news. I do appreciate your info on the four Kinchin girls resident in the school in Poole Dorset. I am quite amazed at the age of the girl's we were led to believe  they were all very young almost babies,and their father was serving in WW1, their mother died about 1919 and an older sister Alice Marian Kinchin was in the house with her younger sisters. Alice Marian became my mother in law when she married Wm Charles Bosward in 1925 London.

Are you located in Poole Dorset  ??? as I have another research of Bosward families living there who later emigrated to Australia.  it's also quite a mix up of family history If you would be so good as to reply I will forward some query in hope you could help me  sort it all out, :) Thank you.

Kind regards

Jane.

 :)  HI Petur. :)

WOW how very nice to hear from you I just opened my computer  to read your info. I have not had much luck finding the Kinchin family of my late mother in law. I do have details of some thanks to help from our RC, members.

What I am looking for is more details of the mother of these girls I have her death date but would love to find her gravesite. ??? I do have Alfred Hugh he is buried beside my in laws in Hendon Cem.
 Also what happened to the 3 little girls who were in the home in Poole,Dorset We did find some records of a Bosward family living in Poole Dorset in early 1925.  but I have'nt been able to connect them to my late husband's family ???

I would appreciate hearing your history of connection to the Kinchin;s and my late husband Bosward family  if anything is known to you as you say you have lived in UK for many years,
We are located in Ontario Canada since the early 1950's I can correspond in a personal message
by email if you prefer. it would be great to add your family line to the others in the tree.

Kind regards;

Janey

 :) HI Reneespn

Thank you for your very kind post on my Wilson family cousins. have to say it's quite a surprise to hear from another  Whitchurch  after so many years. ??? I had contact from Bruce & Elizabeth Whitchurch quite a few years back and we have combined our family history. Elizabeth has done a lot of research and has a lot of info and some pictures which she sent me  a very nice one of Jeanie Connell Wilson if I remember she and Reg Whitchurch were divorced  and Jeanie remarried. ???

I will dig out the old files and get back to you Reneespn I haven't looked at them for a long time. if you like maybe you can fill me in on your side of the Whitchurch family and if you are in touch with any other members. will look forward to hearing from you again. :)

Cheers & kind regards from cold Canada ::)

What is the last census you have Elizabeth on?

Have you checked marriages in the area she was living?

Hi   :)

Thank you very much for your helpful reply. If I remember correct the last census I found Elizabeth on was 1891 Bridgeton I ;m sure she was still with her granmother and aunts,uncles. quite a few of who never seemed to have married. ???
I did find a brother James Kirkpatrick who married still lived in Bridgeton.Checked out and wasted a few credits on S/P for Elizabeth Connor but not found with parents William & Jane Kirkpatrick
so still looking and appreciate all the help received from R/C members :)

Kind regards;
Jane :)

Is there another Scotland census  available after 1901  ???
The 1911 census is available at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and the 1921 will be available there some time next year.

Thanks a bunch for the info on 1911 census I got on to S/P and looked it up and found Mary Connor age 40 single  she had been listed on other census as a dressmaker now on the 1911 she is living in Rutherglen with her two aunts Mary & Matilda Kirkpatrick.They are operating as milk dealer  and Mary is the dairymaid no sign of sister Elizabeth now trying to find her. :)

Kind regards
Jane

HI Monica  ;)

WOW,,,this is wonderful of you to find the newspaper stories about WilliamConnor.  Is there a website for those newspaper articles I could get a copy ???  my Connor 'rellies' would be over the moon to see that William was charged  as when they came over to USA they changed the name spelling to Conner
hoping to distance themselves from him, they still use the 'Conner' name today.

Can't thank you enough Monica you always come through for me.

Cheer all the best. ;D

Jane. :)
