Hello
Dorothy Wybergh is the daughter of Thomas Wybergh and Ann Lowther.

Thomas Wybergh is the son of Thomas Wybergh(son of William Wybergh and Margaret Whe (a)rton) and Elizabeth Lancaster (dau of Jeffrey Lancaster and Isabel Bartram)

Ann Lowther is the daughter of Sir Hugh Lowther knt (son of Sir John Lowther and Lucy Curwen) and Dorothy Clifford (dau of Lord Henry Clifford, 10th Lord Clifford and Anne St John).

The Wyberghs, Lowthers, Cliffords, Percys, Nevilles et al are recorded in various visitations to Cumberland, Westmorland etc, along with a number of historical documents within archives and the internet.

Hello Deborah,

Are the Diocese of Carlisle online?  I am hoping to find other Wybergh marriage licenses.

Hello,

Thank you so much Deborah.  I really appreciate your help.  Can I ask one more question - which Diocese the license was registered with?

You have given me more information than I had previously. I didn't know if they were married by licence or Banns.  Again, Thank you.

Regards,
Thorby

Hello,

I am hoping someone can provide assistance with a look up for St Michael's in Appleby, Westmorland.  I have found a marriage for my ancestors Robert Baty, Clerk and Mary Wybergh on IGI for St Michael's, Appleby, Westmorland on the 26 November 1757.

Would it be possible for someone to look up the marriage record for witnesses and any other information?  And if it is at all possible,  a copy of the marriage record?

Thank you,
Thorby Walker

Hello,

Letitia Maria Benfield married Thomas Harbottle (b.6 dec 1816 Manchester- son of Thomas Harbottle and Rachel Ashton, d. 24 Mar 1895 Brighton).

The Benfield children received an inheritance upon their father Robert Benfield's death and were subsequently individually independently wealthy.  Robert Benfield married Ruth Taylor in Essex, and was originally from a upper working to middle class family.  The main occupation of the Benfield/Grange family were Gardeners & confectioners based in London.  Of 7 daughters, only 2 were to marry.

Cheers,
Thorby

Hello

Ellen Cranch Benfield and her sister's Emma Mary & Laura Emily Benfield were all wealthy governesses (independent wealth) who remained independent and did not marry.

Hello Justin,

Should I send the email to your gmail account?

I have found Rebecca's marriage in 1882, and one of the witnesses looks like Mariam? Barnett.  I will also send you a copy of this.

I also think I may have found her in the 1881 census - though a couple of years younger with a cousin - Moses Abrahams.  I can also send you a copy of this

Thorby

Hello Justin,

It seems you did indeed out trump me.  And I am very happy you did.  Thank you for that tidbit.

Sonderling, Abraham, from Margonin, request for warrant of apprehension from the Kingdom of Prussia in the 19.Jahrhundert, HAY, class XLI. (1859), page 88
Baruch, Herrmann, from Margonin, request for warrant of apprehension from the Kingdom of Prussia in the 19.Jahrhundert, HAY, class XLI. (1859), page 88

All I think I have to order them separately from this website www.adelsquellen.de  The translation from German to English has not done the website justice and how to order is a bit confusing for me.

I was wondering - did you find Rebecca Baruch/Barnett in the 1881 UK Census?

Regards,
Thorby
