It looks like it could be Market Jew Street, Penzance.

Just an update to an old post in case anyone who participated in the search is still curious about it  ;)
It’s Hoskins Memorial Church, Lithgow, NSW.

Prepare a flask of coffee and some sandwiches….’go Jool’  ;D

5
Please find it Jool, it has to be out there somewhere   ;)

6
Not quite so magic Jool. That blinking ‘where am I’  no.12 still haunts me! It’s out there somewhere, but where?  ::)

The family seemed to enjoy being in North Wales. I believe the photograph was taken on the steps of the St George’s Hotel, St.George’s Place, Llandudno. It hasn’t changed much!

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Who Lived in a House Like This?
« on: Saturday 23 July 22 21:39 BST (UK)  »
I know this is an old post and not sure if Carol ever discovered the location?
It appears to be Nettleden House, Nettleden Road, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
Built in 1856, the good news is it's still standing!

Thanks Arthurk ;). Yes, it’s definitely Rainforths! The photograph on the link you posted is so much clearer, thanks.

Thanks Ray.  :) You could be right about  the shack being for ticket inspectors. I think it was something to do with buses rather than Dewhursts.
