Hi Chris,

Have just found your offer again and thought i'd see if you could help.
Am looking for a James BEDSON = chester area. Born roughly aound 1801 ish. His son Joseph was born in 1827 though and married Ann Findlow. Joseph went on to change the family name to BENSON. No info why though! Joseph was also a trustee of the methodist church in Huxley, which is where he brought up his children.
James' wife was called Sarah.....i think and there was a daughter named Martha and another son named james. Both older than Joseph?
They would have been either labourers or farmers. Joseph began a labourer but became a farmer, which has progressed to my fathers generation.

Many thanks in advance for your help, which would be fantastic!

Hi Chris, have just seen your very generous offer and wondered if you could look up a marriage for me. My gt, gt, gt grandfather was James Bedson and he was married to Sarah? They had 3 children, one of which was my gt, gt. grandfather joseph born 1827. He changed his name to Benson after his marriage to Ann Findlow. Joseph was born in Huxley but i think James was born in Chester around 1801. If you can help i would be grateful. Thank you.
