Tazi, I received your message today. I hope that Sue can help. I am a novice at all this. Good luck B.

Sparrow, I have received your message and I hope that Suzi has too. She is the authority. Good luck B.

Sparrow, I seem to have received your message but I am a novice at all this. You will probably have reached Suzi too and she will have all the answers. Good luck with your search. My surnames are Goss and Pickering, if you should stumble on any threads let me know. B.

suzey68  Many thanks for your help.  The last Goss is definitely part of the family but I notice a Pickering in there and that is a 1900 connection . It might just be a common Thames-side name.  This one was Lillian and she married Fred's brother Francis.  There is possibly a Pickering-Yorkshire connection. Have a very happy new year! Love B.

ella-louise,  I am not the right person to help.  If you scroll through the whole lighterman site, you will find people who have the records at their finger tips.  Good luck.  B.
