The Featherstone society website has some info regarding Buddy Featherstonhaugh and his ancestry. What is your interest in him? I am distantly related and may be able to tell you more about his family history. Did you know he was also a formula 1 racing driver?

Have been researching my own branch of the Featherstonhaugh branch for some time.  I would be very interested to find out if there is any overlap with your particular branch. How far back have you been able to get?

I Have managed to go back 8 generations in what was a very fragmented family tree. My earliest Featherstonhaugh, William (born 1715), supposedly originated "from a wealthy  Northumberland family". His mother may have been from the Shafto family.
He married a Jane Pew and settled in York.
The names George and William are the dominate male names.
