I looked at the surnames posted by Christopher.  This one is of definite interest:

.     John     FINLAY     .     Newtownards     son of John Finlay ; aged 22 married Frances Graham 20 Oct 1851

This is my g. grandfather's first marriage.

John and Jane were my g.g. grandparents.  Their son John was my g.grandfather.  John married Mary Jane Todd.

I've already "met" Jim through a lady researching the Todd family. 

Its great to meet other cousins!

My branch emigrated to the States. 

Does anyone have the history before John and Jane?
