Thank you all for your messages and sugggestions. Much obliged.
I now know Daniel's father's name was Rodger (didn't know that when I sent the query).

Cork / Daniel GORMAN born 5 Nov 1839 Mitchelstown, Ireland

Greetings
A friend has asked me to try to find information about Daniel Gorman born 5 Nov 1839 Mitchelstown, Ireland. He was married to Johanna Hayes in 1864 to Johanna Hayes in Brisbane, Australia. The family have the details of his marriage and subsequent fourteen children but they don't know anything about his ancestry other than his mother's name was Mary and where he was born.
They have also been trying to find his immigration to Australia which was possibly around 1841/1842 and possibly to Tasmania but can't confirm that.
If there is anyone reading this who can help in any way we would be most appreciative.
Thanks

I am doing a tree for a descendant of Margaret Cochrane and John Leslie Gilmour. They immigrated to Queensland too ... arriving in 1865. I don't have a tree on ancestry. If you would like to email me at at
* I could give you more information.
Thanks

You have the same and as much as I have I'm afraid though I have to admit I have not looked further in recent months. I'll let you know if I make any progress. I would be interested to know about Alexander's family and when he immigrated please. I am researching this family for my friend who also lives in Australia.
Thanks

This has been a great help.
Ancestry had transcribed the name as Tobias Caulfeild (which is what I would have liked it to have been!) but felt that this was not the case.
Many thanks to you all.
Best wishes

Greetings
Wanting to know what the third entry on the attached page says. Rather than say what I think it could be, I would like fresh ideas so I won't give my transcript if that is ok. There appears to be the same "squiggle" at the end of each entry too?
Any suggestions would be greatfully received.
Thanks

Thanks for the latest replies. Yes, both girls died unmarried. I'll now see if I can find any children for Albert.
Much obliged.

Many thanks to you all. You have put the family together. I was hoping this would lead to some living descendants but they have been knocked off with one foul swoop!
Much obliged.

Greetings

I am looking for descendants or information about the family of Albert John Turton Griffiths LEWIS and his wife Susan LANGMAN. They had three children Edith LEWIS (b 1885), Albert E LEWIS (b 1887) and Florence LEWIS (b 1889). At the time of the 1891 Census they were living at Killigrew Street, Falmouth and Albert was an unemployed carpenter. I have been unable to find any more about them.

Thanks
