Has anyone dealt with this group of people?  I can't seem to get a lot of info on them, wondering if I'm missing any meaningful sources or places to contact.  Thx

Not sure if this is appropriate here?  I have a rather long and wordy Will written by my ancestor 1818 (I have transcribed the Will from the original).  I understand the gist of the Will, namely he appears loathe to let his son in law get his hands on his daughters inheritance, but it is so long winded and repetitive that I feel like I am missing important additional information or just plain understanding.  He apparently had another daughter by his second wife which he appears to not be aware of (or is he??), and I'm not really understanding what exactly he is doing with his money.  Is anyone here able to read the Will and give me a much more simplified version of what he is saying?  Appreciate.  Many thanks

Replying to eileen and carole (never sure how to reply individually on here).  I had tried to download a copy of his birth from the GRO but that year (for him anyway) was not covered by digital and you had to order a proper birth certificate which would take longer and more money that I want to pay for a "just checking".  But...I did contact the person on ancestry and it is her grandfather so, yeah!  That's the confirmation I needed.  Thankyou both for your suggestions.

A bit long winded subject line, sorry.  I have a man John Hall (doesnt have a middle name) born 1925 Lambeth, Surrey who disappears on me in the UK.  He seems to appear on a tree dying in Newfoundland in 1998 (Pearl Cemetery) no other info added to grave.  I'm trying to confirm these two are the same John Hall.  I do not have an actual dob for the Lambeth, Surrey birth except for the GRO reference: 1925  S Quarter in LAMBETH (mother Clarey).  The tree has given June 25, 1925 from two or three records (passenger lists) but offers up no proof of actual date of birth for the man in Lambeth, Surrey (ie birth/baptism with dob record).  I saw on findmypast that Canadian census records don't go up very far, so I'm out there too.  The one in England apparently married a Mary E. Mitchell, but the Canadian grave gives no widow in the cemetery by that name.  I'm working on dna matching and would like to confirm it's him and if he had children.  Not interested in contacting anyone.  Many thanks!

Actually there's quite a few artciles under the search "Purfleet Disaster" 1915

Probably a bit late to reply to all this, but there is a newspaper article, two in fact, about this accident on findmypast (if you have a sub).  I cant seem to copy and paste here the results if you want to find it but this is what the search came up with :  The Purfleet Disaster in Purfleet in the 9th September 1915 Northern Whig, Belfast about the funeral,  and another newspaper dated 6 Sept 1915 Dundee Courier, must be part of it missing, but the part that shows starts "all the bodies except one of the 17...."

Kent Lookup Requests / Re: Kent burial lookup....maybe

Your right about Woolwich.  I do have all his naval/pension etc records and was just looking thru them again and he did die July.  I emailed the FH society that covers Woolwich and they said that Ancestry has Woolwich records, but the original record is not on there.  Anyway, still looking lol.  Thanks.

Well I'm looking at a map now and it looks like Woolwich might be the right choice.  He has a couple of kids being born in Greenwich and his wife is still there in 1840.  (Teach me not to check maps first.)  Let me see if I can access Woolwich.  I find that site complicated.  Many thanks!
