Grace is my 2nd great grandmother.
The family story that came through my mother, is that Grace originated from Ireland, though the details that I've subsequently been able to gather show this are not the case
Her birth certificate show that she was born on 31 October 1946 at Cororion, Llanegai. The mothers name is Mary Pritchard and the mark of the informant if of Pierce Pritchard of the same address.
Grace married William Owen(s) of Tany y Rhiw, Llandegai on 28 March 1865. on the certificate, Grace's surname is Green and her residence at time of marriage is Cororion. Her father is shown as Henry Green, a harper (maybe this is where the Irish part of the story comes from?)
Grace died on 12 August 1884 at Tanrhiw, Tregarth, Llandegai. The mark of David Owen, son is shown on the certificate.
I've recently been trying to find information regarding Henry Green. Nothing locally has come up, but, there are references to one Henry Green, Harper; one is in 'The Principality', 1848; the other is in the Cardiff times in 1863.
I hope that the above information is of use. If anyone has anything further they can add, I'd be fascinated to hear
