E-Mail:-   ** might be easier?

Isaac B 1820 Joined the army in 1841 and travelled to China then back to India in 1843. He marched with his regiment from Calcutta to the NW frontier. He returned to England in 1855 when he married my GGGM Sarah Ann Bull in Weedon Northants. They returned to India and stayed until 1862 when he was invalided out and became a Chelsea Outpensioner at 1s:6d per week. He rose through the ranks to become Colour Sergeant  the highest non commissioned rank, had an exemplory record and received three campiagn medals. There were three children William Henry my GGF, Sarah and Henry these latter two died in India. On discharge they returned to Northampton where Isaac died in 1872.
Mallard 45 must be of the William Henry clan since he was the only surviving child of Isaac. I have copies of Isaac's army paybooks and his discharge papers. My cousin in Northampton has the originals together with his medals.
regards

Thanks
We obviously connect at William and Ann. However, I am also descended by the direct Male Line from Isaac, of whom I have quite a lot of information and deep respect.
regards.

Hi All
I am a Hartgroves and have been researching my family on and off for some 30 years! I am new to this site however. I guess that I am not alone in hitting an impasse at the marriage of James to Mary Hasler at High Roding in 1769, but would be more than grateful and thrilled if anyone has progressed with any certainty further back. I am willing to share any information that I have which could be of assistance. Meanwhile I await any responses with some anticipation.
Many Regards
